Blended yarn is the kind of yarn in which several types of fibers are mixed. Different kinds of fibers exhibit an entirely new characteristic. Generally, two or more fibers types are blended to create new mixture.

Some types of blended yarn:

  1. Cotton / Nylon yarn is commonly used in the knitting industries, the blend ratio can vary with company requests. However, the 60% cotton along with 40% nylon is the most common one.
  2. Polyester / Viscose yarn is cost effective and has a high twist with crepe effect to it.
  3. Acrylic/cotton yarn can have variety of percentage mixes but 65% to 35% is the most common one. It is available in both white and colored options.
  4. Polyester / Linen yarn is a commonly used perfect combination. The percentage is generally 70% to 30%. This blended yarn type is very common in knitting and weaving industries.
